Our 1st Annual RWRC Christmas Winter Wonderland Event was a huge success. The attendance was far more than we expected, and we had plenty of room to spread out. Kudos to them for providing a wonderful plate, place, and gracious assistance for the event. Claire Maxwell and Andrea Norberg were co-Chairs for the extravaganza. Thank you to Marzee Woodward and her Silent Auction Committee: Ann Elizabeth Rucker, Judy Houchens, and Lynn Clayton. We raised $2555.00 to help with
funds for our club!
Murfreesboro’s own Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra had a magical quartet playing Christmas music for us as we entered the event to hear the ever-interesting, entertaining and main speaker for the evening, Brian Wilson of WTN 99.7. Attending with him was his newly-wed wife, Dawn. We were thankful to hear from U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn through her staff, John Clement; from Lynne Davis with U.S. Representative Scott DesJarlais’ office; from State Senator Shane Reeves; and State Representative Tim Rudd. Also, we are thankful for Steve Hasty who rounded out our evening DJing with Christmas music, and his sound system was a key help with the success of the event.
